IN MY DREAMS

W VOTES OBAMA

Finding His Better Angels at Last, 43 Resolves One Self-inflicted Problem Before Inauguration of 44

by Jerry Murley

The current president can deny it, but I bet money that he voted for Obama. I think he is just the contrarian to have done it. And he has the motive.

Now let's hope that he can put to rest at least one problem that his administration's policies – and more to the point, his administration's tactics – have created for the incoming administration.

Maybe it will be distracting the Russion bluster about a dubiously considered missile deployment in Poland. Or maybe the administration will work quickly alone or with the Pakistanis to finally dispose of the Osama problem once and for all.

I think we deserve one parting gift from 43 to 44 that is visibly helpful to us all. Then I would feel as if accord had really come to our land. And we navel gazers can return to critical debates about evolution and how we might futher curtail the freedoms of our fellow citizens.
